We are a small yet energetic company that produces television commercials, corporate communications and documentaries.
Established in 1982, Black Sheep Films is a partnership between Andrew McVitty and Lisa Wang.
We assemble a specialist team
for every project commissioned, blending experience, expertise and creative energy tailored exactly for the communication required.
From concept to completion
we ensure that clients are involved in all stages of the production journey.
It is vital to us that clients share and own the production experience, not just the finished product.
Prior to forming Black Sheep Films,
Andrew worked as a producer and director in Australian television.
His extensive experience includes the iconic alternate music program Nightmoves, a string of hit videos for Kylie Minogue, and special event programs such as Stop the Drop, winner of the United Nations Media Peace Prize.
Andrew has produced and directed hundreds of television commercials and created digital media projects for NAB, BHP Billiton and Hewlett Packard and the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation.
Lisa produced and directed
her first documentary Reunion in 1998 and was invited as a First Appearance Director to the International Documentary Film Festival, Amsterdam. Reunion won an ATOM Award for Best Documentary (1999). Both Reunion and Lisa's second film PS I Love You (1999) were awarded a Bronze Plaque at the Columbus International Film Festival, USA. Working with Ned Lander
Trevor Graham and Carl-Ludwig Rettinger, Lisa is now in post of the documentary feature Monsieur Mayonnaise about Melbourne art entrepreneur and restaurateur Georges Mora. The film focuses on his son Philippe who is making a comic book about his family’s survival of World War 2 and immigrating to Australia as post war refugees.
